The Regeneration Project (TRP) is Christian based, tax-exempt not-for-profit training program that serves Biloxi, Mississippi and surrounding areas on the Gulf Coast. TRP's primary goal is to provide training, mentorship, and support services for teen girls (ages 13-21) , teen moms, pregnant teens and those who nurture and support them.
TRP emphasizes the "whole person concept" by providing social, educational, training, and financial referral services. Many of the resources available to help clients pursue these opportunities are accessible through seminars and workshops and individual on-line mentorship programs.
The mission of TRP is to equip young females with the tools necessary to become financially and socially productive by helping them change the core foundations that keep them from tapping into the social, education, and financial resources necessary for them to become self reliant and independent. We do this by hosting small seminars throughout the year, hosting teen rallies at local schools and working with school educators and administrators to find ways to augment their programs.
Seminar topics are chosen based on input from local educators looking to enhance their academic curriculums by addressing internal, external, social, academic and financial factors that may present a barrier in the learning environment but are not explored due to limited resources and the restrictive nature of the classroom setting. We also provide support services for parents and guardians. Topics vary and may be accessed on our project list.
The core foundation of any change is determining internal factors that may deter individuals from completing the course of action. We have partnered with local agencies to provide ancillary services that we do not provide
The Regeneration Project will provide counseling referral services to those clients who have emotional needs that should be addressed prior to admission into the career development program.
Additional services may be outsourced through cooperating agencies in the local community on an as-needed basis.
